Art Workshops with Willowfield School
In partnership with Willowfield School, we conducted art workshops where students used photographs, illustrations and other memorabilia as inspiration for creating their own artistic representations of Leyton Orient's local heritage.
From the artistic to the informative, students also practiced oral history recording techniques - interviewing members of the local community about their memories of the Club and surrounding area.
On September 30 2017 the project kicked off with a re-enactment of the O's first ever game in Leyton against Cardiff City. The initial game took place on August 28 1937 at Brisbane Road and ended in a 1-1 draw. This time round a team representing the Leyton Orient Trust took on players from the Cardiff City Foundation at the Score Centre and emerged 4-1 victors.
